In the last two months I've been interested ( ok slightly obsessed ) in the celebrity chef Jamie Oliver. I first heard about him a few years back but wrote him off when I heard he was the "Naked Chef" that just sounded weird and on top of that he just seemed so young. I was dead wrong. I was trying to find a good cookbook for my sis and a friend of mine recommended Jamie Oliver so I gave it a shot. I think I liked the book more than my sister! Then I heard from my brother that Jamie had done a tv show called Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution and so of course I had to check that out too. You can watch the whole show on you tube and let me tell you it's well worth it. I was totally hooked. As I did more research I found out he was doing some amazing things because of his passion for food, cooking and families. My husband and I just recently watched something he put out in the UK called Eat to save your life. We stayed up super late to watch this and I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone who needs a wake up call about the food they eat and how it affects your body. Just to warn you its a bit gruesome but well worth the information. I learned a ton and have started doing a few things differently in my own food choices. Lastly I was looking for some tips on making a turkey and I found Jamie's Christmas special which more than anything will make you laugh and spur you on to making the holidays a bit more spicy.
I recommend this and this cookbook if you would like to get started with Jamie's cooking.
Alright now that I've thoroughly flooded you with this guys stuff go check it out and tell me what you think
Happy Days!
Do you think Jon would enjoy this cookbook?
ReplyDeleteyes. really anyone who remotely enjoys cooking will like Jamie's books and is philosophy.
ReplyDeleteOk so twice I've tried to comment and twice it has been lost. So now I'm giving up on eloquence. I like the cookbook dangit, just not the perfume it came with, LOL. Still gotta lock it up with some baking soda, maybe tonight! Love you!!!
