These Days

It seems like almost every night my husband says something like ..."these days are running away" and then I add "like horses over the hill" (U2). My pregnancy like most seems to drag on during the first and into the second trimester, but when the belly starts to show you start to feel like a giant meat thermometer that pops when the turkey is done. Time is swiftly passing us by but in a good way. We are trying to get things done around the house, organizing, planning and praying. Now that I am in the clear with my placenta moving up I feel somewhat liberated to push forward doing the things that need to get done around the house.

On the flip side there is a little girl in our house who is intently watching me grow and listening to all the comments about her baby brother etc. We have been trying hard to include her in all the details and explaining what the future may hold and it seems to be a very positive thing for her. This has been a huge blessing, something I've been praying about and seeing some funny results. Like most girls her age she is wanting to be like mommy so it wasn't very surprising when she came to me one afternoon with a little lump in her belly proudly announcing that she was pregnant too!
